Toncarton launches the Delipod connected mobile container

Toncarton, a provider of transport management solutions, has officially announced the commercial launch of the Delipod, a connected and secure mini-container designed for deliveries in densely populated urban areas. Described as a mobile hub, the Delipod can be loaded in advance, transported by a van or lorry to a transhipment point, and then collected by a cargo bike courier or any other mode of transport suited to urban conditions to ensure last-mile delivery.

Founded by Chakib Chadda, an engineer specialising in networks and embedded systems, Toncarton has come a long way since its launch in 2018. Backed by Bpifrance, the company initially targeted removal firms (hence its name), but this SaaS-based TMS is now aimed at all hauliers, service providers and shippers, enabling them to optimise their delivery operations collaboratively.
